Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018
July 12 - July 15
Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrates its 25th birthday this year!
GFOS has come a long way since its inaugural debut on 20th June 1993, and the Silver Jubilee theme of this years’ event promises to take everyone on a journey through time; showcasing the very greats from the world of four and two wheels. This is a historic landmark for the event and it will celebrate the moments, machines and people who have shaped and championed the last 25 years in motorsport and the event’s history.
The Forest Rally Stage, situated at the top of Goodwood hill, has always been the perfect proving ground for racers to come together. Spectators are witness to a range of motoring greats take off down the course, from the birth of stage rallying to the new era. It’s not often you get to see a Ford Escort MK2 go up against a Ford Fiesta R5.
Southern Car Club is working hard to organise the stage at this special edition of GFOS, none of which would be possible without the help of car club members, marshals and officiators from across the country who volunteer their time to make sure the biggest event of the year can run smoothly.
As ever, there is a need for volunteers and, whilst preference for marshalling at GFOS is given to Southern Car Club members, we encourage all car club members to register their interest. In keeping with new safety rules, all marshals must be MSA accredited.
