Southern Car Club run what is known as a "12 Car" event, which is ideal for starting out in any kind of rallying – this is limited to 12 cars and just about any car can take part. You do not need special equipment to take part in road events, but often a map magnifying glass, map light and a sump-shield comes in useful on the more competitive events.

In this series of navigational rallies beginners will be very welcome and a subsidy of £15.00 will be available on each round as a contribution towards their expenses. The Motorsport UK Blue Book for 2019 will allow for Novices to be provided with their navigation in advance of the start of each event but for the three events in 2018 the previous practice of a TC in the start venue and the 'proper' start outside will apply. There are classes for Beginners, Novices, Semi-experts & Experts - so that covers everyone....give it a try - great fun and an easy introduction to 'night rallying.

The 12-Car event runs as part of the Weld Motor Club 2018-2019 12-Car Series this year supported by Utting Estates Limited.

Round 5 Friday, 15 February 2019 (Croydon Promotion)
Round 6 Friday, 8 March 2019 (Eastbourne Promotion)
Round 7 Friday, 5 April 2019 (Southern Car Club Promotion)

Help Wanted!

Friday 5th April is the date of the SCC 12 car road rally. We always welcome anyone who’d like to help run the event, you won’t have to work too hard- it is after all only 12 cars!

The START & FINISH are at the Barley Mow pub in Tandridge, Surrey ( 5 minutes from the Godstone A22/M25 junction)

You need to be there at 19.00 hrs

There is a FREE buffet at the finish, and as we will be giving you a colour copy of the relevant OS map you don’t even need to buy 188!
